Practice Contact Staff (Carbon Fiber)
Our Practice Contact Staff features a carbon fiber core making it lightweight while still stable and strong. Each staff is perfectly weighted for contact moves with rubber ball ends and is marked with a contrasting reflective center point to ensure optimal balance.

Grip Types:
White Silicone (Recommended): Extremely tacky grip that doesn't noticeably wear after repeated use and is easy to clean. While silicone is easily the best grip in normal conditions, it does get a little slippery when it's wet.
If you find that humidity causes a problem with the efficacy of our grip, try our tacky overgrip that performs well in moisture and applies directly over the silicone grip with minimal bulk!
EPDM: Made of soft sponge rubber, this is a great all around grip in any environment. EPDM grip is like fine wine and gets better as it ages. However this grip does wear over time and will eventually need replacing, which is easily done.
Staff Flowers:
Recycled Rubber Flowers now come standard on SOSC Practice Staffs and are highly recommended for practicing contact and SOSC moves. You can upgrade to Gora flowers for the best rolling experience. Adding flowers to your staff will slow down the roll by creating drag without adding much weight. This makes your staff easier to control while learning contact moves.
Length:
Recommended length is from the ground to your shoulder/throat area. In general, longer staves are slower and heavier. It may make contact moves easier by making the staff move slower.
